TrayJourney ("we", "our", or "us") provides a mobile application that helps users track their Invisalign clear aligner treatment, including aligner schedules, wear time, reminders, and progress photos. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using TrayJourney, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your phone number or email address through our authentication provider (Supabase). We use this to authenticate you and to send sign-in one-time passcodes.

Profile and Treatment Data

You may choose to provide profile details (such as your name) and treatment information (such as your aligner schedule, the number of trays in your treatment plan, current tray, and reminder preferences). This information is used to power the app's core tracking and reminder features.

Camera and Photo Library

With your permission, TrayJourney accesses your device camera and photo library so you can capture or select progress photos of your treatment. Photos are stored in your account so you can view your progress over time. We do not use your photos for any purpose other than displaying them back to you within the app.

Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications for reminders you have configured (for example, tray change reminders or wear-time alerts). To deliver these notifications, we store a device push token associated with your account. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Purchases and Subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and managed by RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. We receive a record of your subscription status (active, expired, etc.) but we do not receive or store your payment card information.

Diagnostic and Usage Data

We may collect limited technical information automatically, such as crash reports and error logs, to keep the app stable and reliable. This information is not used to identify you personally.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the app's tracking, reminder, and progress features.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To send notifications you have configured.
• To process and validate subscriptions and entitlements.
• To diagnose problems, fix bugs, and improve the app.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising.

How Your Information Is Stored and Shared

Your data is stored with the following service providers:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage for profile data and progress photos.
• Expo / Expo Application Services — push notification delivery and over-the-air app updates.
• RevenueCat — subscription management.
• Apple App Store and Google Play — payment processing for in-app purchases.

We share information with these providers only as needed to operate the app. We do not share your personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations.

Your Rights and Choices

You can:

• Revoke camera, photo library, and notification permissions in your device settings.
• Edit or remove profile and treatment information from within the app.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the email below.
• Cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store or Google Play account.

Children's Privacy

TrayJourney is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on stored data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the app where appropriate.
